The Hard Goodbye

Been back like 1.5 months and I'm still only on the digital photos of Berlin. I've been busy...

I normally hate Bruce Nauman. But this sculpture was cool. These are all from the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum.

Crossing to Kreuzberg.

Think this was the technology museum.

Not sure who thought this was a good idea.

These are from the Eastside Gallery, one of the longest stretches of the wall still in tact. They let people paint on it. I think most of these are recreations of graffiti that was actually on the wall at some point.

This hilarious looking pipe ran through one of the eastern suburbs whose name escapes me. We recently talked to a Berliner and she said this was the water supply I believe.

Awesome ad for a computer store.

I'm going to go back there someday

Went to the Pergamon Museum. Saw old stuff.

These were the walls that went along the entrance to Babylon. I think between like 2 and 3 thousand years old.

There is an an abandoned airport in Berlin called Berlin-Tempelhof. It was where they flew the airlifts out of when the wall was up (I believe). It was abandoned in 2008 and then remade into a park. It's pretty incredible riding your bike down an airplane runway.

Taking refuge from the storm.

I mean, we rode our bikes through here and no one said anything. Proof that Berlin is truly the honey badger of all cities.
