No alarms, no surprises

Photos from around Renkum. This is on the way back from Wageningen a nearby town with much more happening than little Renkum.

Returning on the train from Amersfoort

My bike! (for a month at least)

The garden through the viewfinder.

Found this in the woods nearby.

The Netherlands

Ah yes, the Netherlands.

Some day soon I will see this sign but not the other side without the red slash.

Typical Dutch field with sheep in the distance.

These are all within a five minute walk of our house.

So loyal followers of this blog (read: no one) might remember this museum from 2 years ago. It's the Kroller-Muller Museum, a museum/national park. You pay to enter the park, admission comes with a bicycle. You then can rome this massive park with crazy landscapes. In the center is an amazing museum with a huge sculpture garden and the second largest collection of Van Gogh's in the world.

This sculpture reminded me of this dude.

My life as a fairy tale

So I stole that title from Stephen Merrit's play about Hans Christian Anderson but this place is pretty amazing. This is the garden of the house we're staying in.

This is the studio of the place we're staying.

Sunroom

Office or my work space basically.

Kitchen part 1

Kitchen part 2

Around Amersfoort with Boris and company

On the way back from the train station our second night.

A beautiful bike path along the river Rhein is like 10 feet away.

I've wanted to try this technique for a while now called Through the Viewfinder or TTV. Basically you take a medium format twins reflex camera, the type that you look through the top to see what you're photographing. Then basically photograph the viewfinder with a digital camera. Pretty cool.

Art store in Arnhem.

Behind the scenes of TTV.

So I got all of these for like 1 euro each. I highly recommend the donker.
