Hold Me Closer Tony Danza
I flew to Arizona last week to help enforce the new immigration laws.
Juuuuuuusttttttttt kidding, that joke never gets old. Seriously though, I went for my 29 year old sister's retirement party (no joke). Unfortunately this isn't like "I'm a young person that invented some weird tech thing and sold it to Google for $14 million and now I'm retiring." This is more, professional ballerinas don't have a long shelf life.
Ever since I can remember my sister has been dancing. It's a tough life (not that I'd know). She basically has moved every two years in order to keep dancing with different companies in the States and has always had a "real" job, since as you can imagine, there's not a lot of money going to ballerinas in the US.
Luckily I was able to take some time off work and see her in her final performance of A Midsummer's Night Dream, help throw her retirement party, and meet all of her friends. Kind of a bitter sweet moment, seeing my sister say goodbye to something that has basically been her entire life up to this point but at the same time, I am sure she will be onto bigger and better things (like her costume making business). Anyway, here are the digital photos from the trip, I roll with more camera equipment than clothing at this point.
Just like Looney Tunes.
There's a sweet "plane graveyard" where all the retired military planes go to die. Unfortunately the best you can do is drive by it in a car.
My parents rented this awesome house that we think must have been a convent before. The decor was Ka-razy.
This was my room, there is a little midget door cutout of the huge doors on the left side.
The window in the kitchen that looked out on the back yard with a pool and hot tub. Uhhh what?
You know, just your average prayer candle station in a house.
So this is my sister's BFF in the "sexy" koala costume my sister made for her. Apparently koalas mate by raping each other....which is only what I can assume is happening in this picture as JC looks on.
Penance for the last picture? Seriously, hire my sister to make you a costume. She also made my T-rex costume.
Photo booth party pics.
Sister and dad!
Awww so cute!
The fam + BFF
Tony Danzas
If my dad had a rock band, this would be his album cover.
Just wouldn't be a family vacation without dressing up like idiots and shooting photos!
The beast in full effect. Her eyes don't look as evil in these pictures.
I'm a total sucker for plants + artificial lighting (flash).

Those are some awesome photos. Tony Danza? Is that a tiny dancer joke? I hope so. And are you and your sister wearing matching Cody shirts?
ReplyDeleteOops. I forgot I can click on the photos. I see the shirts now.
ReplyDeleteDamn bro you look just like your dad.
